We provide tunnel time to Little League, Babe Ruth, ASA, AAU, High School teams and individuals. Coaches, if you have practice and it rains do not cancel bring the team to Maine Hits.
Maine Hits is not affiliated with one team, we are open to all.

Want to improve your mechanics or just learn how to properly pitch the ball?
The instructor will emphasize basic throwing mechanics using the windmill motion including balance, proper arm path and proper follow though. Class meets for 1 hour each week.
Students are expected to provide their own catcher and bring the following equipment to each lesson: glove, and tennis shoes.
Classes are taught by Kelsey Griffin who has at least 15 years of pitching experience. Led the Scarborough Red Storm to a 22-0 record and a state championship as a senior, 2007 Maine Gatorade Player of the Year…2007 Miss Maine Softball and a Pitcher for SNHU Southern New Hampshire University 2009-2011

Bill Hillhouse will be providing private lessons all winter. Do not miss the opportunity to train with one of the best pitching instructors in the country. Just ask the 9th ranked Georgia Bulldogs Softball program who has hired coach Hillhouse as there pitching consultant.
Maine Hits is scheduling lessons for the weekend of Dec 16th - Dec 18th, 2011. Bill will be returning to Maine Hits every month this winter in Scarborough. He will be conducting lessons starting Friday evening and working through Sunday at noon. There are a limited number of slots available and you can call 207-730-7227 for arrangements.
The private lessons are $110.00 per hour.
For those coming in from out of town wanting to stay overnight, please call Maine Hits as well. We are setting up discounted rates for hotels in the area.

Who is Bill Hillhouse? Bill is one of the premier men’s fast pitch pitchers in the country. Pitching consultant for the NCAA Div1 9th ranked Georgia Bulldogs softball program He has competed internationally and played twice on the Men’s National Team. Bill was the youngest pitcher to play on the US Men’s National team. Bill has played and/or coached on 6 of the world’s 7 continents. Bill coaches and instructs some of the top women softball pitchers, not only across the country, but in other countries as well (Denmark, Bahamas, Panama and the Dominican Republic just to name a few).

There are several softball organizations in Southern Maine and New Hampshire for your daughter to play travel softball. These organizations provide the girls with positive experiences, training and competitive softball. The coaches and volunteers do this for the enjoyment in helping players reach their goals. USA LADY MAVERICKS is a new organization this year, 2011! We are looking for players from all surrounding states. Based out of Portsmouth, NH, we are looking for girls who want to take their game to the next level.
Our coaches have a passion for Softball. We want to train and coach your player to be the best softball player that she can be. Our coaches and trainers are all certified ASA Coaches and experienced athletes. Our coaches are able to cover all aspects of the game…MENTAL AND PHYSICAL.

The Southern Maine Flame, “Maine’s Premier Fastpitch Softball Organization,” will be conducting tryouts for the 2012 Season. The Southern Maine Flame competes throughout New England and has won 4 New England Championships, 15 State Championships and 38 other Titles since 2000.
